Samsung Pay has launched in the UK, almost exactly a year after the arrival of Android Pay. The service allows you to pay for goods with a Samsung smartphone, though it's only available on a selection of the South Korean firm's current and former flagship smartphones at the moment. Unfortunately, the UK version is also missing some key features that are on offer in other markets. The I.F.O. is fuelled by eight electric engines, which is able to push the flying object to an estimated top speed of about 120mph. LG plans to include 3D facial recognition software on the company's latest smartphone, LG G6, according to The Investor in Korea. The news comes after rumors circulating last year suggesting the G6 would launch with an iris scanner and LG's own mobile payment platform, LG Pay. LG was reportedly already making technology that merges the camera sensor and iris scanner. LG has reportedly teamed up with facial recognition firm Oez and the software for the LG G6 could launch as early as June, when LG Pay takes off. Paying with facial recognition could boost LG above its smartphone rivals.

Earlier this week, the Samsung Galaxy S8 line of devices were announced with tremendous fanfare. The Galaxy S8 serves as a symbol of Samsung's comeback story following the Galaxy Note 7 debacle. In my opinion, the pros of the Galaxy S8 outweigh the cons. However, there is one specific con that has been making the headlines today. Early reviewers of the Galaxy S8 discovered a security flaw in the facial recognition feature.

IT seems Samsung (Sammy) will be improving the eye scanner. The more responsive retina eye scanner in both new Galaxy models will take less time to register. With the latest advanced games on smartphones, it is obvious that the market has very high demands from the Mobile Manufacturers also. The speed, processing power, memory, and camera power are obviously increasing in most of the devices, but the major players are focusing on very high-tech features. One of the best additions will be a new, unique glass-like surround.

Following on from the discovery of Samsung's Bixby AI assistant, the South Korean company has provided more evidence that the service will be available in the near future. As part of promoting Samsung Pay on its own website, Samsung's webmasters uploaded a picture detailing three options on how to pay for goods: "Shopping, Mini, and Bixby". 'Bixby' is believed to be a voice-powered digital assistant (see here on Forbes). The assistant is expected to be used by all of Samsung's first-party applications, including the Samsung web browser, Samsung's PIM software and as is now apparent Samsung Pay. It's not clear yet if Bixby will ship with the upcoming flagship handset, although it's the sort of service that feels like a great fit to promote alongside the launch of the Galaxy S8.
